Hi, could someone explain how to use preloads? And what can be achieved by this? (a few examples would be nice). I would like to implement that to xlanguage so that i wont have to change common.php in every update. Is that possible using preloads? Thanks

xLanguage is already done by Trabis. Download from here

And yes - that's the idea - by using preloads you don't have to hack the Core anymore, every time you update the core. It's a great way to modularize Core, and extend it.

It's definitely one of the highlights for this release, and something that could be very useful for XOOPS, going forward. See the way how could we replace one ImageManager by another for Core,

See this discussion for info about Preloads

Thanks for the info mate downloaded the new xlanguage and is working perfectly!

So all we need to do is add a folder named preloads and a file named core.php in there! The name of the class in that file could be anything and just runs automatically?

Nice work on this! Thumbs up for trabis!!!
