Hello

past couple weeks i have recived high load hits to my index page . my site was off couple times because that .

i have contacted the hosting staff and they said there is no DDOS attack or any thing the told me to check my scripts to see wht cause the high load .
i just have XOOPS on my site no other scripts ..

and from my site log it look like the index page got most of the hits ..



i have backed up my database and deleted it the restored it to new MySQL i thought better than just repair or optimize it..

any suggestion why this high load ..

Oh last thing i dont want u think it might be i just have busy site with alot of Visitors .. because i dead sure i dont have that much of visitors..

Hi, I faced this problem too. I only have about 1000 impressions a day tho. So I had to discable the protector module cos it would always give me the blank page. Another good idea is to specify the folders containing static content like downloads or images or html pages you have, it will reduce the server load (you can do it via the administration panel of your hosting provider).

The index page is the mose Visited page ..
