today i foudn out that all my custom user profile fields are gone. i mean they do exist in teh module administration, but they are NOT: shown in the registration form, searchable, editable, viewable (if there is such a word. thought it's a permissions issue, but i cant even select them in teh permissions tab cos i cant see them there. i did upload the backup of the database, but it's not what caused the problem, cos the problem hasent been solved...

the problem is solved. i dont knwo why but the cache folder has just disappeared. just had to create it again.
