I have been having occasional trouble logging on to my site. It seems to usually occur when I am using Wandering WiFI at PJ's coffee house.

I have the 'remember me' turned on, so the site loads with the correct name and password.

When I press the enter or the green check to log in, I get the correct 'signing in screen'.

However, then it returns to the original page without logging me in.

The problem appears to only occur when I am wandering.

From home or work, the login appears to work normally.

Curious.

I can log on with my portable from work with no trouble.

But at CJ's coffee house, using the Wandering WiFi, the logon does not work.

I get the splash screen saying it is loggin me in, but it goes back to the original page.

Now if I go to the user.php page and use the same default username and password, then I do get logged in.

So it seems to be a problem with the xetagenesis menu.

Hmmm.

Oh. The problem does not occur when I use internet explorer. It is only occurring with Firefox.

Firefox is also not changing the system preference when I try to change it from 'don't check for template updates' to 'check for template updates'

Tried it a number of times and it never did update the setting.

On a whim, I switched back over to Window IE explorer. No problem logging in. No problem switching it to 'check the templates for updates'.

Reloaded the site home page and the change I had made to delete the 'globalnav.html' menu (on the chance that was causing the problem) finally had the change accepted.

Hmmm.

Turned the 'check for template updates' back off.

Curious.

I wonder what the problem is with Firefox.
