Hi, something happened and since today me as an administrator don't have permissions to edit blocks and stuff from the admin menu. it says sorry you dont have permission to access this area. why the heck if im an admin. what happened?

Two options:

a) Your host changed something
b) you've changed something

If you didn't make any changes to the system recently, you should check with you host provider. Lately there were couple of cases of that.

i've checked with the 2nd website i run and it wasnt affected so i guess this is not my hosting. so i must have changed something. but what could i do to block myself? i dont think there is some way to block adminitrator.. especially ocassionaly/.

ok i got the point but stiil dont know how to fix it. the thing is that when i installed XOOPS i specified the technical url cos i didnt have my own yet. but then i bought a new url address. i have modified mainfile.php and specified a new url as a website url but XOOPS still seem to think that the first url is the one it needs (I have new url in the system blocks, but when i go to admin section i have my old url in links). where else should i change url address cept for mainfile.php?

alright had to clean every caches folder.
