I'm looking forward to migrating my old website to a new engine, XOOPS seems to fit into general requirements for its lightweight design and extendability. For now I've already figured most of whats need to be done except one thing:
The old website uses a registration scheme allowing a new user to choose from several member groups, and the user must fill different fields based on his choice. However, most of 'basic' fields in users profiles are shared among all member groups, only a few profile fields are unique to each group.

So, whats the right way to get it done? Any help\suggestions are appreciated
