Changing the Xoops URL

Currently, all of my XOOPS stuff is in this location: http://www.website.com/test/xoops/htdocs

How do I change my XOOPS URL so that it points to http://www.website.com? Basically, when someone goes to http://www.website.com then the XOOPS stuff should show up and everything that's tied into the databases and such shouldn't get messed up because I changed directories. If I move everything out of my htdocs folder to the main root directory, is that going to mess something up with the databse configurations?

I hope I explained this correctly...

Should work fine...just change the path in mainfile.php

Thanks. So all I have to do is move all of the XOOPS stuff to the main root directory and change the path in mainfile.php?

Or do I just change the path in mainfile.php only and that's it?

Why you installed XOOPS in this location?
http://www.website.com/test/xoops/htdocs


it would be better to install it in
http://www.website.com/
or
http://www.website.com/subfolder/

as Runeher said, you can move it to where ever you want then edit the paths in mainfile.php

Database has nothing to do with moving folders.

I installed XOOPS in that location because I was working on redesigning it and such and didn't want it to be public yet. Thank you for the help, though. I just wanted to make sure nothing will mess up when I start moving folders! :)
