Modifying email template content

Could someone advise me on how to modify the content of the standard email messages sent by the system, e.g. greeting message which the systems sends out to new registered users, message to admins on new registration, etc. Where are the templates for these emails stored?

Hi,

check your XOOPS_ROOTH\language\YOURLANGUAGE\mail_template

for example language\english\mail_template

Thank you. I found it and successfully made my edits using an editor.

Are these templates only modifiable exteranally with an editor, or is there a utility within XOOPS to edit these within the portal?

no you can't edit them from the website itself
