Hello I'm trying to use the sitemap module but I am confused.

When I go to the module's index page to check out the results it doesn't seem to show most of my site's pages.

So for example I use newbb. Sitemap shows all the forum categories but none of the individual threads.

Shouldn't a sitemap show all pages not just category pages or am I missing something?

Sorry if this is a slightly basic question

hello BigJim ,

the sitemap module is not dynamic like for example the sitemap-plugins for wordpress which create the list on the fly.
my opinion is that the XOOPS sitemap module is useless because it lists only main-cats.
so you missing nothing

Hi robustus, thanks a lot for clarifying.

Man, that's a shame, so is the only way to do it is by hand?

yes, or you can do it sem-automaticly, with a sitemap tool like gsitecrawler: here it is mainly for xml-sitemaps, but can also creates html-sitemaps. the tool crawl your site and generate a sitemap, robots.txt and so on. it needs at beginning a lot of configuration to exclude pages (like newbb viewmode, flat etc.) to prevent double entrys.
maybe usefull for you.
