no system module menu

Hi I've just installed XOOPS 2.3.0 and when I log into the administration area there is no menu under where it should be where it says menu. Ive installed twice and still have the same problem.I checked the modules folder and everything seams to be in there.

It happened to me when there was a problem with cache directories not being able to write to. Check your write permissions.

BTW - what PHP/Apache/Server are you using?

ya it was the xoops_data/caches

What forum is XOOPS using that it has it featured on the front page? also what are the better forums in general?

We use CBB here, which is the best for us. Some people use newbbx. There is also X-Forum
