Hello everybody,
This new website (For Alarm Company) is based on XOOPS 2.0.18.2. Check it out and please give me your opinion and what other things do I need to do for it?
Also, I have a problem with google. Its taking forever to crawl the website!

Hello everyone,

Please could you tell me which protector is the best for XOOPS 2.0.18.2? and if possible, could you provide me with the link?

Thank you

Hi,

You need the new version 3.20 from GIJOE's website.

Read the article and get Madfish's excellent installation guide linked from within the article. Not the easiest installation if you don't have any other modules that use xoops_trust_path but you'll be okay as long as you follow the installation guide step-by-step

Ask if you need help.

Love the layout, very professional. I had a problem with some of the links but I figured you don't have everything populated yet.

One suggestion: To promote visitor interaction I would add a blurb about what the benefits of registering are. Do I get to see more content? Do I get direct access to technical support? Does it put me on a mailing list so I get newsletters containing feature updates and product/services reviews?

First, define XOOPS_TRUST_PATH into mainfile.php if you've never done it yet.

What does he mean by that?? shall I insert a code?

Assuming this remains a "live" question then you need to:

1. Make a directory on your server to place the files that come in the Module's "trust_path" folder. Give this folder a unique name, anything you like.

On my set up it is "parallel" to the XOOPS folder, i.e.:

My website's files are in /home/my-domain/public_html/xoops_root
My trust path is /home/my-domain/public_html/xoops_trust_path

2. You need to define your trust_path folder in mainfile.php along with the other defines:

define('XOOPS_TRUST_PATH''/home/my-domain/public_html/xoops_trust_path');

The path must be the "physical path" (like xoops_root_path) rather than a "virtual path" (like xoops_url)

In my mainfile.php, it is placed after the other two.

Hope this helps
