This was happening before the upgrade to 2.3 Final but it was the Interests field. Now my name is being populated in the Email field on the user profile.

i can't replicate, can you explain better and tell under what circumstances you can notice this?
moreover, which browser do you use?

fyi, it has been addressed in 2.3.1, please confirm during the RC stage that it is fixed now
