Took the 2.3 plunge - My Report

Well, Really lately my WarPigw2 site is used for testing XOOPS related stuff. Even though I use it for production for my XOOPS related publications, I decided to do a full backup and test 2.3, mainly to see how my many installed modules worked. Here is my preliminary report. Will add more as my testing goes on.

First let me say great job. The upgrade from 2.0.18.1 went very smooth. I like the fact that the cache and template_c folder are no longer required in the web directory. Will keep things much more secure.

Here are my installed modules and status report:
Polls version 1 - seems to be working.
Member Search - seems to be working.
smartfaq 1.08 - seems to be working
edito 2.3- seems to be working with some formating errors (will look for upgrade)
smartpartner 1.2 -seems to be working.
CBB 3.08 - seems to be working
xhld 2.99 - seems to be working
wfdownloads 3.1 - seems to be working
Liaise 1.26 - is not working (module not found error) update for this?
sophos virus alerts version 1 - seems to be working
AMS 2.41 - seems to be working will update to latest
extendable waiting contents 0.94 - seems to be working
shortcuts 1.3 - seems to be working
paypal donations 1.9 - seems to be working
pages 1.16 - seems to be working
wordbook 1.14 - seems to be working
weblinks 0.97 - seems to be working
multimenu 1.82 - seems to be working
popgen 2 - seems to be working
cafepress shop 1.01 - is not working
xhelp 0.78 seems to be working
isearch 1.6 - seems to be working
xasset 0.93 - seems to be working
Reviews 2.19 - seems to be working
news 1.54 - seems to be working
mediawiki 1.67 - seems to be working
smartsection 2.13 - seems to be working
rw-banner 1.5 - seems to be working
formulaire 2.34 - seems to be working
xoopsinfo 2.13 - seems to be working
smartblocks 1 - seems to be working
zentrackxoops 2.6 - seems to be working

Will reopen my site for new members to further test. Please post any problems found on my forums. I will look over my sites setting then submit a bug report if I cannot find a simple solution.

Thanks again for this great release.

BTW, was not sure where to post this, so feel free to move it to another forum in needed.

Im wondering, I have a site that is running the same version of php and it has errors when you go to the register page. Does yours do the same or not?

No, I do not have errors on the register page. What errors are you getting?

If there is one thing I dont get about XOOPS is that for some reason one install will work and then another will not. I did another install in a diff folder and that one works just fine.....
