2.2 recommended Upgrade Path

Hi all,

It has been a while since I had to mess with XOOPS 2.2, but I have a client with an old installation of it. I would like to know what is the recommended latest update for a production XOOPS 2.2 site?

hello,

first he can upgrade to XOOPS 2.2.6 RC for sec reason (if his version is too old).
Then in few days, you will be able to upgrade to 2.3 final.
Please test the upgrade to help us to be sure there are no residual bugs within the 2.3RC2, especially with the upgrades.

Yes, his version is too old. Production site with a large number of members, so would not want to install anything not a final release on it. I see 2.2.6 is also listed as rc. How stable is 2.3?

it's the second RC, final is for next week-end, but we need your help to track the residual bugs. We made the maximum to release a pre-stable release. For me, the area that need final check with production data is upgrade script. For now, our tests went ok with those, but i invite you to give us more feedback about them, please.
Moreover, what modules are in use in the website you're talking about?

newbb 2,3.2 ==> we are currently testing CBB3.08
news 1.54 ==> plz upgrade to latest, that is compatible
polls 1
myalbum 2.86

Private Messaging 0.1 ==> embeeded in 2.3, plz test upgrade script
