Go to:
system_block_mainmenu.html

and add after:

<!-- end module menu loop -->

<class="menuMain" href="http://yourlink.com">Your Link</a>

You can as many links as you need.

After that, go to Admin>Preferences and set the "Check for new templates" option to "yes".

Visit your homepage and check the the menu has updated and then reset "Check for new templates" to "No".

You can make the content in the "Info" module that you're using, or in News, Edito, Pico, or some other modules that help in creating "static content"

is it possible the way you are explaining by adding
<a class="menuMain" href="http://yourlink.com">Your Link</a>
