@script_fu

Thank you to point it out and let the community know what is going on!

That issue should be resolved before anything else!

What I understand from what I've seen so far is that I can code apps for Xoops, and they SHOULD run under XOOPS Cube, as well, under the Legacy module. Is that essentially correct?

If so, then when I have something to share, I'm willing to submit it to the XOOPS Cube people, as well.

I hope this could be a reality one day officially.....not just with XOOPS Cube & Hodajuku but simple xoops, icms, runcms, xoopsmexico etc

Xoops also started as a fork from PhpNuke but it has been completely diff and become one of the leading cms imho....i've been testing many cms but XOOPS engine is still the best....thats why maybe there is too many fork of XOOPS

so why can all reunite and put away the differences and fighting to create the most powerful and best cms in the world..

Hi jimmyx, forks will not merge into XOOPS again. They became forks for the same reason XOOPS fork from phpnuke. Would you ask XOOPS to reunite with phpnuke now? Mamboo to merge Joomla?
But people yes, they could reunite, put away the differences and fighting to create the most powerful and best cms in the world, wich would be another xoops' fork again.

Some of this forks could have been avoided if the world was round enough.

Trabis you should understand that actually XOOPS is a fork of itself
and that since the project was "managed" by Herko, Myth and Skalpa

You should also read about "legacy" in terms of software development.

Otherwise if your development is based in XOOPS 2 standards and your code object oriented you have no problems with Xoops, Cube legacy, php 4, 5, or 6
because it's only a question of coding the right way

... with code of of honor in mind.
