Hi trabis,

I was speaking about this verry bug:

Quote:
I noticed a bug. Using reveal Id seems to be imcompatible with the on mouse over.

And beacuse of this bug, I was thinking about this idea:

It would be great if we can have choice between "on mouse over" and "clic" on each block...

Do you think it is easy to add this function to my favorite module?

P.S. Good luck for your server problems & migration

Hi zorro, that bug is solved but, the ideia of allow to choose click or mouse over should be implemented.

The problem is that I don´t now how to do it the best way. If I included javascript in html body then I could easily do it by writing the code on the fly. But javascript is going in <head> as a file( although I could also write the file on the fly) so maybe I could have 2 versions of the javascript and include the one user chooses for the block.

Another problem is that making that option per block is hard. It was easier if it was for anyblock (set in preferences).

Well I have to think a way of do that.

And thanks!
By the way, I finally migrated with total success. Server Load still peaking when I use soe options I add in the news module. I´ll have to review the mess I did :(

Hi trabis,
Congratulation for your migration! And thank you for your answer.

Sorry for the complication.

At first, the easier way to do this could be to have two versions of mytabs module in the same XOOPS site… (clone)

May be it is stupid… but I was thinking about this idea:
In the admin panel we could have two tabs “blocks and groups”
One for the “click” and one for the “mouse over”…
What do you think about it?

hi zorro87, well, it was easier than I thought. It´s just that I do not now enough of javascript but, taking a better look, I just had to do the same as in the 'persist' feature. In 5 minutes I got it working, and now, off we go to the final release! See you soon. Thanks

Hello

I'm sorry if this has been covered but I can't quite follow some of the comments so can i ask:

Can the blocks be made to change only when the tab is clicked and not on hover?

It seems to do this on XOOPS homepage

I have 3 tabs linked to 3 blocks using reveal ids

Also my first tab won't change color - it is always light grey, whether it is highlighted or not (but the other 2 tabs do change from light to dark grey)

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot

I think, you have an older version. Download the MyTabs 2.0 Final, and it should fix your issues.

In the Options, you'll also set the "OnMouseOver" to no, which will allow you to change the tabs only when you click on them.

Thanks a lot Mamba

My version was only a couple of weeks old but didn't have the option for yes/no on hover - great stuff trabis!

But the css problem remains - my first tab is always light grey whether it is selected or not. The other tabs just change between light and dark grey for hover over/not hovered & will not remain light grey even if they have been selected (clicked)

Not sure if this problem is just me!

Hi BigJim, I will try to reproduce that bug. What browser are you using? Also make sure you are using mytabsdefault.css from version 2.

Thanks

Hi Trabis

I'm using both Firefox and IE - basically the problem is that the first tab is always highlighted as the selected one even when another tab is the one actually selected/being displayed.

I've tried all the class options and they all have the problem (so its not just mytabsdefault) - I've reloaded the css and jscript files just in case (definitely version 2)

When I view the xoops.org mytabs they display fine

Thanks a lot
