Hi everybody!!!

My web page still run v.2.0.7.3 due to a several problems with updating.

But now, the problem is: as my server updated to Apache 2.0.61 y PHP 5.2.6 some days ago, the web page failed.

It appears:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLONE, expecting T_STRING in /home/vivetuvi/public_html/espa/kernel/object.php on line 528

Then, following the instruccions readed here, we have cancel the clone function.

But now, I can see my web page, but nothing runs except forums (people can't upload videos, news...)

It seems an static web page, because when I try to do something like swicth the debug on it appears "Data base updated", but when I enter again in admin area, the debug is swicth off. It does not recognized my changes.

If I updated directly my page it will run again or do I have to do something before????

The longer you wait with updating XOOPS, the harder it will get

My suggestion would be to:

1) back up everything, incl. exporting the database tables
2) Try to update to 2.0.18.1
3) In case of problems, try to solve them, but be eventually prepared to be forced to have a fresh install of XOOPS, and then import the tables and all other information (e.g. pictures, videos, etc).

This might take some time, but at least you will have a fresh clean install.

But let's hope that the upgrade will work, so you don't have to go to step (3)

Just one question: do I switch the clone function on before or I update directly ???

I have already update to 2.0.15, but my forum is already newbb1 and now it does not run properly, but I can see it.

I have read that I have to use an script called "Newbb1 to Newbb2" to updated it but, when I use it the whole forum breaks down. The admin panel does not have the content...

Besides, the private messages does not run too. When I click on "send", nothing happens.

Before updating to 2.0.15, I have already update the system module in admin panel and I have clone again the templates.

My 2 questions are:
¿Is there any better way to update the forum?
¿How can I restart the private messages?
