Hi,

that's what I have done except I can't change the title on the index page.

Sorry, but perhaps I'm a little hard of understanding today. I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "title on the index page".

Can you help me by being a bit more specific? I'm assuming that you mean something other than the title of your custom block.

I mean the meta title of the page.
I have changed the site name & slogan in the preferences but it doesn't change the index page.

The Site Name and Slogan in Preferences don't normally alter anything on your homepage. They normally change what appears in your browser's title bar.

I have the slogan appearing on my homepage but that's because I coded it into my theme.

Can you give us a link to your homepage and say what it is on there that you're trying to change?
