I am setting up some forum categories for emergency notifications so that users can get real-time notifications of important events, and I would like for them to be able to send certain notifications to their mobile phones.

Naturally, they don't want their phones blasted with every notification--just certain ones.

Ideally, they could have multiple email addresses for notifications and choose which one(s) for a particular notification, but that's not available now.

I can't think of a way to do this, and there may indeed not be. I would appreciate any thoughts on the matter. I know I'm going to be asked, and I want to be ready.

Sounds very interesting and if you find a solution be sure to post it here as i'm currently working on a personal ads site that could use such feature.. I have no clue how to do it though...
