It's not a ready-to-use module. Before using it, you must complete some steps:

1. Check out the latest version of CakePHP 1.2 from svn:
https://trac.cakephp.org/
2. Copy the 'cake' folder to Frameworks/cake
3. Download and extract the file to the root of your XOOPS
4. Install the module as you did before

I wrote this module in PHP5/Linux/XOOPS 2.3.0 Alpha 2, and haven't tried to think what magic problems will happen when you using it. As you could see, it's in alpha stage. ;)

This is a great, great job! Congratulations!
For cake developers, this module is a good starting point.

But I feel the module slow, I made a small module trying to get cake working with XOOPS smarty tempaltes but it takes great time to render. A normal XOOPS module renders faster then a cake "hello me" page.
