Hello All

To those who knows the OpenID issue for a long time: they'll probably be happy to read this: Evolving the OpenID Foundation Board

I just tested Sakimure OpenID module and see it as a great thing for XOOPS communities wherever they are ... hope this one will keep on developing .

I posted the issue here since I'm not so comfortable with the new reorganization and the forum seems to be the best place ...

Of course there were all sort of test and so ...
https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3827 --> http://www.xoopspro.com/modules/news/ , plans - https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4090 ... but till now it's the only thing which is working (not on my server, but is working)

Thanks tzvook.

I am closely associated with OpenID Foundation etc. so, I am not going to stop supporting the OpenID module in a near future anyways.

Why not install the module to your site?

It is always good to have more relying parties

I've installed the module on XOOPS 2.0.18 and followed the instructions in the readme file...but still get the:

"Could not create FileStore directory "%s", Check the current permissions.

I've chmod the _php_consumer folder with 777

Any ideas or suggestions?

I have also tried to install the module on different sites, but no go... I think i did everything correct according to installation instructions, but i get errors everytime, so i don't know... i hope this isn't the final version as it's a wonderful idea.

I had a few issues with my server's clock (tuned out to be a firewall port that blocked the automatic update) that made problems the module since time wasn't sync with the openID provider ...
After I solved it the module functioned well a few weeks (just with the 2.2.x series) ... then after upgrading to the new version it began to make problems with some providers ..

So note that not all openID providers are supported ...
try to login to one of our sites: http://www.trance.co.il/
it function with the right providers ... ( myopenid.com works , but yahoo.com don't )
