Can someone point me to documentation of this mod?
The program is telling me I cannot upload pictures because no album exist. I use to have this version years ago and have since upgraded for other sites and for the life of me I cannot remember how to create the albums in this version.

I created the categories fine. I tried to upload and create an album via FTP but that didn't work either.

I am also having server problems and am migrating to a new one this evening so I am not sure if the server is an issue.

Hi,

In the module's Admin you need to create "Categories" for your albums to go in.

Once you made your categories, go to the public-side of your website and navigate to the module. Click on the "Admin Mode" link at the top of the page, then on the "Create/order my albums" buttom which then appears.

Whilst in admin mode, if you navigate back to the module's top-page and click on an album you will get the options "delete" (it does what you think!), "Properties" and "Edit Pics".

Use the "Properties" to set upload permissions .

Go back into the modules admin and select "Groups" from the pop-up menu to set permissions, disk-space, etc by user-group.

Thank you for the response.
I am now getting "their are no user galleries" when I click on the main category to try and access albums.

Are you logged in as an admin or as an "ordinary" user?

Did you click on "Admin Mode" before clicking on the category link?

Does this happen with all categories or just one?

It happens under both admin mode and user mode.

It happens under the category that I have two albums created for and also a category with no albums under it.

In the XCgal admin click Groups and the module will configure itself without you doing anything else. You will see a message that 'no groups selected'. Don't be concerned. Now you can start adding albums.
