Module Debaser Help Please

I have installed the XOOPS module Debaser. The install went fine but from the user side you can not view catagories. It says there are currently no files available in this catagory, but there are files available. In addition, I am unable to find where the user can vote of files. Please help.

I noticed you started another thread in which you stated that you had the files playing!

Crazymusic,

Does your catagories list when clicked on?

As for getting files to play. Mine do. Did you install the Frameworks and do you have getid3 with helperapps in your XOOPS directory?

I am a newbie at XOOPS but I know that when I got my songs to play after I installed the Frameworks.

My categories do not list when clicked on and I can only get the files to play in the admin, not in the front.

I do have Frameworks.

I am unsure about getid3 and helperapps. Where would I find those?

Jen,

They should be in xoops/class. I think they come packaged with xoops, but mine were missing and I had to install them.

Did you set group permissions in your xoops? If these are not set correctly users will not be able to listen to files, (I think).

Jen, one other thing you might check is your blocks. Also, if you have permissions set in debaser you will need to make sure that groups are allowed access to the module in xoops.

Jen, and anyone else who may be having this problem....

Problem: Debaser 0.92b module will not open catagories and rating is not available.

Reason: genre.php has an error in the code at line 55.

solution: Change line 55 from:

WHERE t.genreid=mysql_real_escape_string($gid)

to:

WHERE t.genreid=".mysql_real_escape_string($gid)."

This fixed the problem. Simple quotation marks made all the difference.

I have downloaded Frameworks but do not know what to change on which lines in which file in order to play video in debaser.

Kindly help.
