Cannot change Wordpress template

So if I go into the wordpress opton menus, none of the changes I make will be displayed. If go into administration menu>wordpress>preferences>interface style>xoops, and then try to change the look/configuration of my blog, nothing I do is reflected. If I go into the same menus and select interface style>wordpress, my template changes are saved, but wordpress is no longer integrated into XOOPS at all-it's a standalone blog vs an integrated blog.

BTW, this is an issue with xpress. Am I simply doing something wrong? There is no other way to edit the options besides going through the menus in the wordpress module, right?

Unfortunately with Xpress, if you want Wordpress + XOOPS integration you have to directly edit the templates and PHP files in the Xpress folder that were used to create the integration. I believe it is possible, but is unlikely to be a simple task. The option (as you have discovered) is to select interface style 'Wordpress' which gives you a stand-alone WP with template options - but no XOOPS integration.

I have been told that it is impossible to change the layout of xpress because of the integration of xpress and xoops. Anyone know? What is the point of the xpress module if you cannot change anything? Kind of pointless....

I should probably make that into a question:

Can anyone guide me towards resources that would show how to change the Xpress template? I know how to change wordpress templates, that's not hard-I just don't know where to look in the XOOPS directories so that I can have an actual functioning blog that is integrated into xoops.
