I've been looking through the forums , and have (1) repaired MySQL xoops_session table (2)installed changeperm.php (3)manually tried to change permissions for mainfile.php everytime I change it to 444 it reverts back to 644 I've tried it on three different ftp software, have tried to change it through WINxp and also iMac am running php version 5.2.2 mysql version 4.1.22-standard Have deleted whole lot and started again - still no joy Any suggestions? thanks

Re: admin.php blank

It sounds like your hosting company has chmod shut down for personal software.

You would need to set chmod permission from your hosting control panel.

still cannot find solution - I've contacted host company .
I reinstalled the data base. I reinstalled the software - is there a bug in the new upgrade? when I view source file for http://sixnil.com/book/admin.php it is blank.

Can you check that you installed the package correctly, you seem to be missing /modules/system/ and that could account for your blank page.

thanks catzwolf I did reinstall everything and do have /modules/system/ uploaded I understood the installation process to be to upload all the folders and files, then move all files and folders from /htdocs to main directory - is that correct? so now my /htdocs is empty
