Stuck on a couple of modules, so any help is much appreciated -

1) What's the best module for creating custom content types (fields are URL, Title, Description, 2 Images, 3 file uploads)?
I installed Content and TinyContent but their "Add Content" and "Add Page Wrap" menus (in Admin Control Panel) don't work - they refresh the same page. If these are the right modules, is there a trick to get them to work?

2) Is there a good module to manage one's buddy list and email content to one's buddies? Couldn't find one in the Community category.

You have to chmod a specific directory to 777. Cant remember which one.
