Is it OK to use Xoops now?

Havent been on this site lately but need to make a new site.

Been reading some comments on latest release and I'm just wondering: is it save and OK to use latest release and what bugs can I expect or should I better use some other CMS?

Read some comment to login with Firefox instead of IE (I'm a Firefox user but IE users are still the majority), that doesn't sound good to me.

Of course it is safe to use XOOPS lastest version.
Myself, I stay away from themes that are not IE friendly because like you the majority of my users are IE browsers.

Define "safe"?

It is not secure and don't let anyone tell you that it is

However, use the Protector module from GIJoe and it's a lot better in that regard.

Make sure that you use 2.0.17.1 with Protector and the latest stable release of any modules you want and you'll be okay.

Let's not start argueing about "safe", we all know it aint 100%, as long it keeps the average idiots and morons out.
