Just install solaris and then add the latest coolstack stuff in it which is Apache2, MySQL & PHP5.
And then unpack XOOPS httpdoc folder from latest stable installation zip file into apache httpdoc in skrips folder. I manage to execute the install script by browsing too
http://localhost/skripsanyway everything is smooth until
----------------------------------
check path & URL
There is a conflict between the detected physical path (/opt/coolstack/apache2/htdocs/skrips) and the one you input.
Physical path must be a directory.
Virtual path is not a valid URL.
The server path to your XOOPS root directory:
XOOPS_ROOT_PATHURL to your XOOPS root directory:
XOOPS_URLIf the above setting is correct, press the button below to continue.
----------------------------------
I find this as weird because mainfile.php has been written correctly with the XOOPS_ROOT_PATH & XOOPS_URL value. So why the variables is printed there instead of the value?
The next page show same problem:
-------------------------------------
confirm database settings
Database Hostname
XOOPS_DB_HOSTDatabase Username
XOOPS_DB_USERDatabase Name
XOOPS_DB_NAMETable Prefix
XOOPS_DB_PREFIXIf the above setting is correct, press the button below to continue

Any take on this issue? I really one to try XOOP before moving on to Post-nuke, etc. Heard people say that XOOP is more user friendly.
But i need to go through this install hurdle.
TIA,
