I wonder if someone can help. I wanted to give my son his own social networking site for Christmas, he and his friends use Myspace and Bebo etc, and I was hoping to provide him with something similar.

In simple terms I have registered his name as a URL, I had planned to get the site up and running and copy his data across from his Myspace and give it to him for Christmas as a surprise. My son is into the guitar and music so I had planned to make that the theme.

However, although I have some programming knowledge, php is new. I have downloaded XOOPS and had a go at installation, but I think I am long away off getting the kind of thing I wanted up and running before Christmas.

I guess I am hoping someone could give me a complete ready made social networking site including the database as a backup that I can just unzip and all copy the files, including the database backup and it will be ready to go.

I can change the colors and ad photographs and graphics for the site name etc.

I would be pleased to make a small donation if someone can assist me with this. I would be happy to display the necessary acknowledgments.

I realize you probably want to do alot more work, but you really should check out ning.com - You can make a social networking site on there easily!

You could use the Module MyFrinds
and CubeLet (a bit techie) or run
another open source project
