Which version of XOOPS do you use?

Plussome server info and full error message that you get with php errors turned on.

Skenow, yup, the folder is writable.

I can actually still post.
So i'm not sure what the problem is i just know that in a bar at the top i get the error message in the thread title.

It could be a possiblity that your server is running in safe mode and have some weird saving restrictions. Is the Folder CHMOD 755 or 777?

Ask your hosting if they have any restrictions regarding saving files or if they have safemode enabled etc.

how about cache/xoopseditor_list.php? Delete it and try again

Have you recently moved/uploaded your site?

A recent thread on 2.0.17.1 revealed permissions being different when uploading/extracting on *nix (file system has different rights than the web server)
