OK so I have uploaded an Image to xoops/upload called image jpeg.

What is the html language I would add to make it replace my banner?

There's two things you need to do:

1. Go to Admin>System>Banners

To get rid of the exisiting banners you can either edit the settings so that the number of impressions equals the current number for that banner or, if you don't want to keep them, delete them.

2. On the same page, use the "Add New Banner" function.

All you need is the URL where your jpeg sits on the server and, if you want, a url where the viewer would go if s/he clicks on your banner.

I really is as easy as that. No need for any HTML code if all you want is for your jpeg to appear on-screen.

Got the banner but still have a blue square, xoops: "just use it", image on the left, and alittle blue left on the right side of my banner.
Any idea of how to get rid of these?

I think they can be anything you want (within reason).

The only one that I have used in my site is 500 x 75 px, if that helps?

I think the one on the left is the logo.gif or is it logo.jpg file.

Find the picture in your account and replace it with your company logo picture.

You might have to replace it in more than one place - most of the themes also have the file.
