rounded? as in corners? sure it does.

Regardless if your design is "rounded" or not you need to see a square.

Imagine your deign is a perfect circle.

We need to break it down into 9 sections

TL TC TR
LL CC RR
BL BC BR

theres your slices.

thats the thingie i fast stripped it from logos and images :)

but in the center there will be pictures that should change on hover or events.

ya, you still slice it the same way, almost. you just hide the center images and slice against either transparency or a bg color.

I imagine that your end idea was fixed width, in this case, you have 2 slices. top, bottom.

Then dynamically replace your images with the use of coordinates. You can essentially create "containers".

Hmm ok, lets try a bit more simple technique.

Gonna show you excatly how to slice this, but I am assuming there are only 3 images in the center there, if there are more you will need to adjust.

Resized Image

If your center images are going to change on mouseover, then all you have to do is replace the images that are here in pphotoshop and save them to a seperate location, you will now have your <a> images and your <a:hover> images.

If you use javascript you can do smoot transitions between your mouseout and mouseover images.

your call.

uhp, actually i missed a piece in the top-right there, but if its the same blue sky bg, you are down town. otherwise, just get that corner within the boundaries of the slice.
