Mediawiki 1.71 How to disable fckeditor but enable normal wiki syntax?

I try to disable it at line 251 by put it to false but i got problem that mediawiki syntax editor does not work it just show a bunch of empty image box.

I think I got wiki syntax to work by changing localsetting.php line 251 to false, updating the module in XOOPS modules admin and clearing template_c directory.
