Is mylinks 1.10 safe to use?

I would like to use mylinks 1.10 from the XOOPS 2.0.13.2 distribution. Is this o.k. to use?. I ask, because I recall reading about an issue with another module based on mylinks.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.
