I am really excited by the continued development of the Morphogenesis templating/theme/whatever it is. I really don't understand it, but dang if it don't work great.

One issue I have had and continue to have is that on the footer, there is a design notice for xooFoo that appears built into the themes. It interferes with the footer which I have which is pretty large (a long disclaimer due to the nature of my work and site). I would like to know how to move the theme design notice out of the way or further down. I think credit should be given and am happy to do so - to xoops, to fris_fr, etc. But, I don't want it to interfere either with the footer.

Any ideas about how to move it down/out of the way?

Thanks!

Mike D.

Hello,

Morphogenesis is a “model”, the credit is right an example, you can replace it by what you want, nothing to even put, on the other hand he is just recommended to keep the credits in the style sheets.
To amend the text of the credits, it is necessary to amend the file theme.php in root/language/yourlanguage or to mofified the define language in theme.html
If you have a xoops_footer a little long, you can modified the class #xo-footer.copyright to put a width and fixed height.

Also this :
<div id="xo-footer">
       <
div id="footer-official>
       <!-- link for valid w3c -->
        <div class="
validw3c"><a href="http://validator.w3.org/" title="<{$smarty.const.THEME_VALIDXHTML}>"><img src="<{xoImgUrl img/w3c-xhtml.gif}>" alt="<{$smarty.const.THEME_VALIDXHTML}>" /></a><br /><a href="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer" title="<{$smarty.const.THEME_VALIDCSS}>"><img src="<{xoImgUrl img/w3c-css.gif}>" alt="<{$smarty.const.THEME_VALIDCSS}>" /></a></div>

<!-- end valid w3c link -->
       <!--
link for rss -->
        <
div class="rss"><a href="<{xoAppUrl backend.php}>" title="<{$smarty.const.THEME_RSS}>"><img src="<{xoImgUrl icons/action/feed.png}>" alt="<{$smarty.const.THEME_RSS}>" /></a></div>
        <!--
end rss link -->

       <!--
infos sur le designer -->
        <
div class="design"><{$smarty.const.THEME_DESIGNER}></a></div>
    <!--
fin des infos designer -->
    <!--
infos 'pied de page' défini dans les préférences du site -->
        <
div class="copyright"><{$xoops_footer}></div>
    <!--
fin des infos 'pied de page'  défini dans les préférences du site -->
    </
div>
    <
div id="footer-no-official">my personnal footer with a define in theme.php, or 'html/php include'</div>
</
div>

Thanks, kris_fr!

I will work on it.

I am so pleased with the look and features of my site. The content has always been good (though we make nothing off it). But the site was always limited by what I might describe as basic designs and templates. I don't have the time or skills to get too deep into the coding, css, etc. The recent improvements to XOOPS design by you and several others have made it possible for my site and others to have a more professional look and feel (IMO anyway). It is deeply appreciated.

I am proud to keep the credits there. I just want them to show in the right way!

Thanks again!

Mike D.

I second what chappy says..

The theme is totally awesome IMO.

up until recently I have not had my own website for a number of years because I wasn't motivated enough to get on with designing one.

But to be honest, The morphogenesis v2 theme has got me totally inspired. Inspired enough to start designing a website of my own. lol (yes it's a long time coming) so i'm now designing my new Amateur Radio Website using morphogenesis. All I can say is that it's not very often i get motivated, and for that motivation to come from a theme itself is very strange.. lol
