hello, I'm having problems installing flash games in xoops. I only can install games by the automatic option, if I want to upload it from my pc, I get no error, and it's not the blank page problem, but the image of the game doesn't apper and the game does not work.

I've got a local version of my XOOPS (2.0.16) running locally on my pc, and there it works fine.

What can it be?? How can I fix my problem, I want to add games and I can't. Thanks a lot.

Protector module?? I haven't installed it. If it comes with the XOOPS core I may have it activated, but if it is something I must install like another module, I don't have it. Any other idea??? thanks!

Is the flashgames\games folder on your Internet site writable (chmod 777)?

If I've understood the above statement correctly; I'm thinking that the database has been written to but the *.swf and *.jpg files aren't uploaded into the games folder.

The link to the game will show /yoursite/modules/flashgames/game.php?lid=# The "#" will be a number such as 9, 10, 7 etc. This is the number the database has recorded as your game.

You should have a corresponding #.jpg and #.swf in your games folder also. If they aren't in there, simply upload these files to your games folder of your website and rename them to the corresponding number of the link to your game that's been written to the database.

yes, it's like that, the number is the same in the site and in the db.

The game is installed, i can't leave a comment on it, and i can't choose it to play. But when i enter, i get a blank page. ANd also, in the main page where i have all the games to choose i cannot see the little pic of the game. Any other idea? thanks
