Thanks for these suggestions. I've checked the chache settings, and emptied out the templates_c dir a few times...
It must be using a "news_item.html" located elsewhere, or it's cached someplace.
In the templates_c directory, I can see:
in-use-xf_GeminiBlue^%%05^052^052EA638%%db%3Anews_item.html.php
For a test, I deleted all the files in template_c,
and deleted the "news_item.hmtl" iteself. I hit the page with my browser, and when I check the templates_c directory, the news_item.html has been recompiled.
Is there any helpful information in the generated part of the file name: "in-use-xf_GeminiBlue^%%05^052^052EA638%%db%3A"? Does it say what directory it originally came out of?
