I need urgent help for xoops site not working

hello eveybody, I'm new with xoops, but I know a bit of php an html.

I'm runnning XOOPS 2.0.16 and newbb 1.06

The problem I have is that I have set the forum module for the start of the site, and now the site is kind of ciclyng, I mean, it tries to enter the forum, but as I am not logegd in, it says I can enter, then it tries again to enter, but the same happens , and I cannot login.


I wonder if you can tell me which file and how I have to modify so that I set the index.php as the starter page. Thanks a lot.

I created a text file out of this code then renamed it to a htm extention. Which I put on my desktop.

From there I could log in. You will need to change the action to your own address.
Also you can just plug in your address with the user.php and that should allow you a login box.

You can start login in your-Site-Xoops.com/user.php

Thank you guys very much, I tried user.php and it worked.

Julio, how should I install that new forum without losing the topics I have on my db?

I'm using a free hosting and I cannot make a backup of the db, so it must be reliable the process. Thank you.
