correct me if I am wrong, but aren't XOOPS modules released under the GPL ?
If so, why can't xProjects modules be distributed?

I thought that would of been the case also. guess he took his ball and went home.

With the streamer module although the module maybe gpl, the actual player could of been licenced under something else (Which I believe is), have a look at webshow for example (Player for webshow is licenced under CC):

Need to stream some videos or music? We have modules
Kind Regards.

I have an older copy of the xproject module (0.60)
But there is no copyright included neither in the source files nor in the README.
What could be done in this case?

Sounds to me like McNaz and his affiliates have withdrawn from the XOOPS community and have taken with them their contributions, so users are no longer permitted to make use of them. I just don't get the politics.
If I'm wrong, so be it.
I don't know.
