i got a simple TAB Script from dynamicdrive.com and will like to use it in xoops.

It is not working however.

What i did was to put the whole script in a folder in the home directory of where i installed xoops.

Can anyone help me with advice on how to use or embed external scripts in XOOPS?

Thanks.

Could you clarify what you mean by a "Tab script"? (A link would be useful)

If you are referring to a navigation script, you will need to get to know the SMARTY variables available in XOOPS.

thanks for the feed back and sorry for not replying earlier.

Its a script that i downloaded from dynamicdrive.com (ajax tab script).

I just read that it will be possible for me to use an IFRAMES to be able to embed it into the website.

But if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks allot.

If you are just trying to frame this script into your XOOPS site, the easiest thing to do is use a "pagewrap module". This is an empty module that you can use to wrap custom content into your XOOPS site easily. I have the module saved in the downloads section of my site ( http://xoops.mattregister.com ). I do not remember wher eI found it but I saved it because it was hard to find.

Take that module and change the name of the directory, alter the xoops_version.php file to match the directory name you just changed, and put your iframe into the index.php file. Upload and install like any other module.

I have this module wrapping google calendars, maps, and a copy of tiny web gallery.

MODERATORS: This comes up so often in discussions in this forum, is there a way to explain this in the documentation?

Pagewrap Module
XOOPS for Dummies documentation which is where Pagewrap came from.
