Nope, never had a problem with it. In fact, I've been connecting to the 'Net via WIFI for a few years and have not had a single problem with my websites.
Looking at the communication layer, connecting to the 'Net via WIFI and not being able to save changes in the DB are in no way related. If you are able to log in and stay logged in, then your connection is working fine.
Try turning on debug and reproduce the issue. If you get any "Error" messages, please post them here. Don't worry about the "Warning" messages, those are just for Devs and are not important.
