We started an MP3 upload site athttp://JonesboroMusic.com in November 2004. We are using XOOPS for the frontend. Unfortunately there are only about a dozen such sites. There are some important issues that need to be resolved so that XOOPS is the BEST CMS frontend for Jamroom. AMong the needs are - We need a way to have ONE login for the whole site. At the moment, you have to Register for XOOPS main site AND a 2nd one for Jamroom. phpbb has ONE login for both, so I know it can be done. Another need is for music Themes. Also, the themes I have tried do NOT allow me to place a left-center and right-center block at the TOP of the pages.
You can visit our site athttp://JonesboroMusic.com and see for yourself what needs there are. The only other working XOOPS Jamroom site I know of ishttp://cpu.ie .
If you SEARCH the Jamroom site you will find ONLY 10 topics/posts that have the word "xoops" in them. There are 10's of thousands of posts there too. Please help fill these needs. XOOPS lovers shouldn't tolerate the almost non-use of XOOPS for Jamrooms sites. My love of XOOPS is why I went ahead with XOOPS for our Jamroom site; even though I got NO help from anyone.
You can contact me at jmo@jonesboromusic.com and the site for the Jamroom software ishttp://jamroom.net

Are you still using XOOPS with Jamroom? I just installed Jamroom, and I would love to integrate it with Xoops, including login/logout. I recently got SMF wrapped and integrated with Xoops, and Jamroom would be sweet if it gets along with the other pieces of the puzzle.
I'd sure like to know how it went. I'll probably contact you later for tips or tricks you might share.
I don't know.

That was over 2 years ago, and he made 1 post. I doubt he'll be back to check for replies now :)

Anyhow, looking at his site, it's not XOOPS any longer.

Yeah, I know it was 2 years ago, but I had hoped he may have still had a notification intact for the thread. Oh well. I had also seen his posts made on the Jamroom forum made around that time frame regarding XOOPS integration. Unfortunately, there was little else contributed by other Jamroom or XOOPS users.

You are right, it doesn't look like he is using XOOPS at all on his site.

I think I will give up on Jamroom integration, because the coding is over my head to do it myself, and bridges available for Jamroom do not actually integrate the login/logout function. Win some, lose some.
I don't know.
