Myspace style profiles

Im looking to build 2 sites with different needs.. can anyone help me with a few questions i have?

1). does XOOPS have a module that allows me to have user profiles like myspace profiles.. I dont want to just be able to change the information categories on the profiles, but i want my users to be able to change the actual look and feel of the sites, As my site is intended to be quite "arty" and allow ppl full customisations of their profiles/homepages.

Is this possible to do with XOOPS without any PHP knowledge ? I can configure things and work with setings etc, but i dont actually know any php..

2). Does XOOPS have a simple review and rating system like this one:http://www.inforebels.co.uk/demo/productcompare/product.detail.php?id=6
which can be used accross induvidual pages, SO everypage i specify can have its own comment and rating, which is relevant to that page and that page only.


If These things are possible does anyone have any working examples of xoop sites i could take a look at ?

Unfortunately, no. To have that level of functionality would require php knowlege.

Yes and No. To achieve a similar look, you would need to modify the templates for the module. There are a couple review modules here that have similar features, just not formated the same.

Thanks for the reply.

Just a quicke ! How much knowledge ? .. Extensive knowledge ? or tampering with a few things.. Also How difficult would it be to accomplish to get those types of user profiles ?

How much woulf it cost to employ a XOOPS coder to do it ?
You or anyone else have any idea ?

I'm not a PHP programmer, but I am familiar with the XOOPS core and how templates and themes are used.

Essentially, to get this level of functionality would, at minimum, require some template and theme hacks, if not some Core hacks.

I cannot say how long or how hard it would be too do as I'm a PHP n00b; however, one of the following companies may be able to give you a reasonable quote.

I'd love to see something like this made into a module. Considering the power of the XOOPS SMARTY system, I would think it would be possible.
