Editing Theme Top Navagation Bar

I am trying to change a link in the top navagation bar. I open up the correct theme folder and edited the theme.html file. I find the area and edit the code that I want changed. I saved, and uploaded (overwriting the existing file) the file. When I refresh the website the link didnt change.

Is there something i am forgeting or not doing right?

Remember to go to Admin / prefferences and click on the "Update theme" link
