Once a visitor comes to my XOOPS site and does a sign in or sign up, is there a way to have them go to directly to a non XOOPS site? basically I'm just looking for a way to create a signup page.
hope this makes sense. if this is not the correct forum to post, please let me know where is best. thanks.

If you are sending them to a separate site after they sign into xoops, what will keep them from bypassing the XOOPS login site the next time?

I am not sure about the automatic redirect but you could have a block with a link to the separate site that only registered users have permission to.
