Error message... help pls!

I get the next error:

Error: Smarty error: [in db:news_item.html line 15]: syntax error: unclosed tag {if} (opened line 9). (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 317)

Can someone pls explain what it is and how to solve it

Sounds like your <{if...}> statement doesn't have a <{/if}> tag.

What module?
What changes have you made?
Can you post the contents of the template here?

Yep JM looks like it, but it does have the {/if} in it. It's been the news module, original template.

Anyways its solved; I deleted and reinstalled the module, seems to work ok now.

I wonder if I might get something started here?
Can you edit your original post to say [SOLVED] in the header.

The reason for this is so we can move on to read a thread where there is no solved heading.

Seems to make sense to me....
It would also help us to find previous problems with their solutions if it were clearly stated in the header.

No demand, just an idea that may be worth trying.
