I am setting up a community page in WF-Channel (now Pages), and I want to show just the CBB forums pertaining to that community on the page. Am I correct that this should be done in a custom block? If via custom block, how should it be done?

Or is there another way?

The url for the forums to be shown would be:
http://www.my-xoops-site.com/modules/newbb/index.php?cat=2

This Thread should get you started in the right direction.

In addition to what is said their... There's a few ways to parse the RSS from your forum. You can use a custom RSS parser script or you can use the excellent XHLD module from PEAK XOOPS.
