I am using [XOOPS 2.0.16 (released 2006/11/17)] and I did not understand your question was for an eariler version. I didn't look at the date on the post when I read "I am using the newest version"

You would have to follow the code using your own version to trouble the problem.

I would recommend doing the upgrade to the newest version which will likely fix your problem.
