can anyone develope a module to use this? I'm using version 1 via myflashfetish but it doesnt seem to be updating to my new playlist so I was kinda hoping that installing one server side would be more helpful. but its not so simple with a CMS.

I am currently developing a module using Jeroen's media player 3.5.

So far, the module plays all Flash media file formats including flv, swf, mp3, and most image files enclosed in atom, rss and xspf xml playlists. It can also play files directly from your media directory by creating an xspf playlist on the fly.

Jeroen's Flash Media Player 3.5 and Image Rotator 3.5 have been wrapped into XOOPS using a highly modified MyLinks module to catalog the playlists. The module incorporates some thirty flash variables to create customize video, slide show and mp3 players, control playback behavior and display thumbnail images or visual animations.

In the singlelink view, the module displays the playlist's title, logo, short text description, body text, website and web feed buttons, and loads the media files into the flash player. Clicking the popup button opens the player in a popup window to allow the visitor to continue surfing your site while listening to your mp3 playlist. Playlists can be chained together to play several media types at once (ie, music player with slide show). The module has three blocks that can display sorted text links, spotlight a specific link or load and play any link.

I am in the process of testing, cleaning up code and writing documentation. I hope to release a beta for testing in the next week or so.

This module would be no good to me.

One of the blocks would need to contain the player itself and an option to load the player into a popup.

By "Links", I meant any media entered into the MyLinks style directory. Links == directory listing.

The Web Show module will be able to load and play a flash media file, folder or xml playlist in a block. A popup button can be displayed on all block and page views.

WebShow, The module I am developing to wrap Jeroen's Player is online and ready for demonstration.
